First Devon Art Fair for Torquay's Riviera International Conference Centre
The Riviera International Conference Centre (RICC), Torquay is looking forward to welcoming Arte in Europa to the Bay, organisers of the first ever Devon Art fair that will be taking place at the RICC this October. This inaugural event is expected to attract 44 Galleries from around the UK and Europe, bringing with them an eclectic mix of fine, modern and contemporary artworks for visitors to the fair to admire and purchase.

Morpeth back to its blooming best
MORPETH'S flower team is getting used to that winning feeling as the town once again took top honours in a regional event.
At the Northumbria in Bloom ceremony in Durham on Monday, it was awarded the accolade of a Gold medal and took the title of Best Town for the fourth year running, despite all the effort and money needed to clean up after last year's floods.

300 Attend top International conference on animal welfare

BAY IN RUNNING TO HOST TORY SPRING FORUM
Torquay is in the running to host the Conservative Party's spring forum next year, the Tory's chairman revealed yesterday on a whistle-stop visit to the resort. MP Caroline Spelman said the South West was due a conference visit from the party and faced opposition from only two other places.
If Torquay is chosen above Harrogate and Scarborough then the Bay could be in line for a one million pound boost to the economy thanks to an estimated 1,500 to 2,000 visitors, including the entire shadow cabinet.
